Sinoville Community Police Forum

Building safer communities through partnership between police and residents. Your safety is our priority across all four sectors of Sinoville.

What is the SCPF?

The Sinoville Community Police Forum (SCPF) is a non-profit, non-sectarian, non-sexist, non-racial, apolitical, community-based statutory entity, established in accordance with Sections 19 and 23 of the South African Police Service Act 68 of 1995, read together with the South African Police Service Interim Regulations for Community Police Forums and Boards. (Regulation No. R.384 of 2001, Government Gazette Vol. 431 No. 22273, dated 11 May 2000, Regulation Gazette No. 7062).

The SCPF functions under the jurisdiction of the Sinoville Police Station and comprises four (4) Sub-Forums, each representing specific geographic areas within the policing precinct.

In terms of the Act, every police station is required to establish a Community Police Forum and, where necessary, Sub-Forums, to ensure effective communication, transparency, and mutual accountability between the South African Police Service (SAPS) and the community it serves.
